E-mail from David Tubb to German!

German,

The 6XC brass is almost ready.

I got some samples in today and thought I would pass along my findings. I used a Neco gauge on the web and both cases had right at .002" of runout on
the body wall. The rim thickness is that of a 308 case (.049") so you won't need a different shellholder (22-250 is .044" rim thickness).

I cross sectioned a case ( if it shows a bulge here or there it is because it
was just clamped in the mill vise - with no regard for body taper).

I specified a different web on this case - one that is similar to the 338 lapua.
From my research this give a much stronger back end as well as more uniform powder ignition. You will notice there are no flash hole- these are just off of the production line and before they got to the flash hole operation.

I seated a primer into one of the cases to check for the fit, feel and depth.
Headspace is just as specified.

You will notice the headstamp is Tubb 6XC. With the increased web the capacity is down about a grain.

I measured the total capacity with water and the scaled read 47.81grains. The neck length of the 6XC is almost as long as the 6BR pictured with it. I would expect to be able to start delivering these in about 2 weeks.

I increased the run to 120000 pieces since I havent done any advertising and
have already got close to 45000 spoken for.

David
